A family business, 17 years on.
NappyWorld started in 2009 as a retail nappy business. Two years later it began supplying other businesses. Today it is a retail, wholesale and private-label supplier, still family-owned.

Desigan founded NappyWorld in 2009 as a retail nappy business, serving parents and carers directly.
Starting in retail meant starting with the people who use the products. In 2011 NappyWorld took that experience to other businesses, expanding into wholesale supply and distribution in KwaZulu-Natal.
The business has grown without losing its scale. A team of under fifteen people now serves 50+ wholesale customers — spaza shops, independent retailers, distributors, hospitals, clinics and care homes — while the retail kiosk at Hillstreet Mall in Pinetown continues to serve walk-in customers.
The next chapter is private label: helping other businesses launch nappy ranges under their own names.
